To practice refugia basically you can seek plants flowering for you planted in areas that has been prepared on cultivated land, to plant a potentially very large used as refugia among other crops paper flower (zinnia), sunflower plant, and plant marigolds, because from 3 to these plants have advantages with striking flowers and the most important is the 3 plants have a color that is in demand by insects as a natural enemy.
Plants refugia not necessarily with 3 plants that had, because there are still many use of plants as refugia, the most important of these plants can produce flowers and nectar as food nutrition natural enemies or predators of pests. Weeds may be for you are nuisance plant but there are some types of weeds that we can use as a plant refugia, because basically there are several natural enemies that love with one kind of plant refugia, so when you want to select a weed as a plant refugia the core of the weed produces flower, because from flower can usually produce nectar and it is preferred as the insects of natural enemies arrive and nesting to breed on plant / weed it.
